Standard Terms and Conditions of Quotation,Reservation and Rent

RESERVATIONS

1)Rates are calculated on the basis of collection/return to the same rental station.

2)Delivery/Collection out of our base, for example Heraklion
Airport, Chania Airport, Chania port or Hereklion port or anywhere else is charging by agreement. 

3)Partially used vouchers are not refundable without our prior confirmation. 

4)Service will not be given for any unconfirmed reservation.

5)No commitments from your credit card.


MINIMUM RENTAL PERIOD

The minimum rental period is one day (24 hours). Rental days are calculated on a 24-hour basis, starting from the vehicle pick up time.


NIGHT DELIVERY

For reservations between 22.00 till 08.00 there will be a late night delivery fee.


DRIVING LICENSE FOR NON EU CITIZENS

All renters must hold a valid EU or International Driving License. It’s a requirement to rent and drive a vehicle legally in Greece.


MINIMUM AND OLDER AGE

Driver must be 21+ years old, with driver’s license held for minimum 12 months, for car groups A,B,C and 23+ years old, with 24 months driving license, for all other car groups.


PAYMENT METHODS

Payment for the rental is made upon receipt of the car in cash or by credit/debit card. In special cases you may need to pay in advance to confirm your booking (you will be informed in time by booking department).


FUEL POLICY

The renter has to return the car with the same quantity of fuel it had when collected. In case the car is returned with less fuel than the original (less than the quantity of fuel the vehicle had when collected by the customer), the customer shall be charged with the fuel difference based on the current market price. No customer refund is provided in case of the car returned with a quantity of fuel greater than that collected.


EXTRA CHARGES

Additional Driver : 2 Drivers are FREE of charge

Baby/Booster Seats : are available upon request FOR FREE.


GEOGRAFIC RESTRICTIONS

International one way rentals are not available. Transporting and driving the vehicles outside the island of Crete is not allowed.

Here you can see analytically terms and insurance:

  • FCI – Fully Comprehensive Insurance: covering all material damages which are caused to the rented car during the rental period by the authorized drivers
  • PAI – Personal Accident Insurance: covering bodily injuries of passengers and authorized drivers
  • TPI – Third Party Insurance: covering bodily injuries and material damages against third persons
  • TLW – Theft Liability Waiver and Fire Insurance: without excess fee
  • TWU – Tires, Wheels and Underbody Insurance: covers damages to the tires, the wheels and the underbody of the rental car which occur while driving on public roads
  • Glass breakage and Mirrors Insurance: without excess fee

5) The amount of the compensation is specified by the insurance contract.

6) In case the driver is involved in a traffic accident under the influence of alcohol or drugs, none insurance coverage is valid and the driver is personally responsible for any liabilities. The same applies if the name of the driver is not explicitly mentioned in the rental contract.

7) TWU (Tires, Wheels and Underbody Insurance) does not apply if the vehicle is used on o non-asphalted road.

8) The fuels consumed during the rental period are at the expense of the leaser.

9) For the shipment of the vehicle, you will need a written permission from Anemis car.

10) All accruing penalties regarding violations of the Traffic Code are at the expense of the leaser.

11) Ιn case of loss of vehicle keys, the leaser is obliged to pay the price for their replacement or to cover costs that may arise for finding them.

12) 24-hours breakdown service.

13) The final price includes VAT.

14) Payment terms: The payment will be transacted at the delivery of the vehicle, either by cash or by credit card (VISA, MASTER CARD).

15) Replacement vehicle. Our company is obligated, in case of a mechanical damage or in any other case, which lies in the area of our responsibility, to replace the vehicle.

NO INSURANCE COVERAGE

All insurance coverage & waivers are valid, provided the renter has complied with all terms & conditions. The renter is obliged to pay for repair costs of any damage caused to the rental vehicle if the use of the car is not proper, as below:

  1. When the renter violates significant traffic rules: (STOP signs, RED traffic lights, speed limits, road direction, U-turns, illegal overpassing, double line overpassing).
  2. For damages caused when the renter is distracted, misjudges his course, and goes out of the road,
  3. The car driver is under the influence of alcohol or any drug that affects their ability to drive the vehicle.
  4. The vehicle is operated on any unauthorized road, non-asphalt road, and dirt road or off-road (e.g., Balos).
  5. The vehicle is driven by any person disqualified from holding or has never held a driver’s license appropriate for that vehicle or is not a registered driver in this agreement.
  6. The vehicle is operated outside the hire or any agreed extension of that term.
  7. The renter wilfully or recklessly damages the car (note: burning out a clutch, sitting/standing on the bonnet/boot/roof of the vehicle, damages to the vehicle interior).
  8. If the renter doesn’t take all the necessary precautions for secure parking.
  9. The car is operated in any race, speed test, rally, contest, or the vehicle is used for profit (taxi or courier service).
  10. Use of the wrong type of fuel.

The renter must pay all penalties for traffic violations and any fines due to the authorities’ removal of the registration plates! The renter is also responsible for the labor costs of re-acquiring the registration plates.

Please, don’t forget that in Greece the paperwork with the authorities is complicated and usually takes a long time!

We cannot give a refund if you return the vehicle earlier or with more fuel than required.
